My Review and Thoughts:

This is a fantastic, dark, interesting original story. It touches on the subject about wanting to be loved, to be noticed and the effects of bullying. This is about one boy’s body being found. The quality of this film is flawlessly directed and acted. It works in so many ways. Plays with the viewer’s mind. It makes you guess just what is taking place? What is the true reality?

There's a very creepy psychologically intense reality to the film.

This is a sophisticated supernatural drama film yet is more of a touching drama. It’s a supernatural story of love. A thickly plotted film. A film that creates itself and becomes a deeper subject not just about the idea of coming back or the concept of ghosts but the reality of wanting to be noticed or wanting to be loved.

This is based on the book titled One for Sorrow by Christopher Barzak. This movie is a great story. A thick drama laced with a deep terror. A brutal film on the idea of how persons can be so cruel and also the idea of loneliness or coming to terms with ones personal reality of love or belonging.

A wonderful young cast of actors and actresses. Cameron Monaghan plays your main character Adam who ends up becoming somewhat infatuated with Jamie Marks and his death. His infatuation leads to an experience beyond his imagination. Cameron Monaghan is brilliant in the part. He makes sure you believe the ordeal and the persona of his character and his wondering mind and exploration of just what the truth is about Jamie Mark's death. He aced his part and truly is a gifted actor. Monaghan is so amazingly gifted at creating the emotional appeal to his character. His tears, facial expressions all come off as being real.

The other shining star is Noah Silver who plays Jamie Marks. He created the film along with Monaghan and aced the chemistry and the dynamics of friendship. Noah Silver is someone that knows how to create apart through amazing acting ability. His emotional reality on screen felt real. He is truly a gifted performer.

Directed by a wonderful director that I absolutely fell in love with his style after seeing truly one of the great underrated horror films 2008's The Ruins. Carter Smith is a brilliant director. Jamie Mark's is Dead showcases his talent and his gift at the art and the craft of creating a great film for the viewer to become apart of.

I loved the darkness, the Gothic type reality of the film. The overall strangeness created a piece of a mixed cast of characters in the story line. An interesting originality that I feel has truly not been done before.

The chemistry and the relationship between Adam and Jamie is extraordinary. It's that best friend, great relationship, love affair, brother to brother type scenario. Jamie never had the love in life, now Jamie seeks out that love. As the relationship furthers itself, it grows deeper, darker and the scenarios and the realities around young Adam start spiraling out of control.

Wonderful, crafted film. A touching story. A drama that plays with the heartstrings and also creates itself in the idea of life and death in choices and ultimately just wanting to be loved and seen.

Loved this movie. Loved it's oddness. Loved it's dark grey toned atmosphere. The acting was top notch. Direction was truly gifted. A movie I will remember and recommend.
