Dilio, Alessandro Cuomo
Plot: A hit man traumatized from accidentally killing a
young girl during a job is given the mission to eliminate her mother, and
begins the ultimate fight to save her life.
My Review and Thoughts:
Martial arts, guns, and violence, all come together to
create, an awesome action packed, and ass kicking good time. A perfect blend of
drama, with a no holds bar fight fest, and eye opening adrenaline. Perfection
in storytelling, and an ultimate imagery of violence that comes off as real,
and also tension filled.
This is a great modern action film.
Your main character is a hit man named Gon. His last job,
did not go so well and he ended up shooting and murdering a child. Now he is
haunted by his action, but the bosses want him to finish the job, he flubbed
up. A micro-chip containing a file could not be found and so now he must finish
the job that he is haunted by. 3 people possibly have the file. Gon must locate
all three. One is the mother of the child he accidentally killed.
Written and directed by a true action and story teller
master Lee Jeong-Beom. He created one of my favorite films, The Man from
Nowhere. Lee is able to film brilliant fights. He is able to bring a truly
memorable story together, and No Tears for the Dead, is one of those films that
stand out, and brings awesome choreographed fights and bloody gun action.
Starring the amazing Dong-gun Jang. Jang is one of the
greatest modern film actors around today. He has been in so many thought
provoking foreign films. A true Korean performer that owns and displays
perfection in the art-form of acting in many powerful pieces of cinema. He
plays Gon the haunted Hitman to a perfect clarity. He makes you believe, and
understand, and follow along with his character.
The main female lead is played by the stunningly beautiful
Min-hee Kim. Gorgeous, and a brilliant performer. She plays the character of
Mo-kyeong, the mother of the murdered child. She is, a relatively new comer to
the acting world. Starting her career in 2000. She has a wonderful and
fantastic emotional appeal to her ways of performing, and her part in this showcases
her extraordinary unbelievable talent, as the grieving mother.
Also starring the amazing multi-talented Brian Tee. A true
bad ass, and perfect acting performer. Always is a sight to see. I loved him in
this role. His character of Chaoz, is truly, brutal and twisted. Also starring. is two bad ass thug characters, played by, Alessandro Cuomo and Anthony Dilio. The characters are brothers, named, Aponte and Juan who both dominate in pure force and gun action. They give off a
true vibe that is believable and bad ass. I have to say the one star that
sticks out and shines with his character in the idea of total brutality, and sadistic
perfection is, Hee-won Kim. His part is just dynamite. He crafted pure evil and
creates in the viewer watching a deep and tension filled emotions. I absolutely
loved his performance.
What stands out in this movie is the emotions. The emotional
reality of the characters and the many deep moments of the story. Yes there is
great action and twisted violence, but there is also, a brilliant story, both emotional
and adrenaline pumping.
The extras:
You get a behind the scenes program.
A making of feature.

Brian Tee Interview
Deleted Scenes. I absolutely loved the deleted scenes, and
it filled in some of the gaps. The movie is perfect the way it is, but the
deleted scenes give so much more answers to questions that you the viewer might
have after watching. These deleted scenes, filled that gap, and I think really
works, and would have been nice in the film.
You also get a Character Spot-Mogyeong and a Character
Spot-Gon
An action Highlight which showcases many of the action
moments.

Overall:
Gun fights, dirty cops, gangsters, assassins, foot chases, explosions,
knife fights, buckets and buckets of blood, and perfection in showdowns. Some
of the coolest hit men, snipers, and real nasty bad guys. Loved this movie. I
found it a great watch. Action, bloody perfection. The why the film is filmed,
it's like an art-form on crack.
Bloody good time.
