My Review and Thoughts:
My Rating: 4 out of 10
Another wonderful Woody Allen film for the collection on
Blu-ray. Twilight Time has released many, upon many of Allen’s films throughout
the years. Yet again another flawless example of how to treat an older film and
bringing it to high definition. This 1080p beauty is a high-quality product.
Twilight Time always shines.
Woody Allen has a style that only he can do and get away
with in film. He has a natural talent of creating truly original pieces of
cinema. His ultimate completion of films is something that stands out as being
one of a kind experiences.
You either love or hate Woody Allen movies. Most of Allen’s
films are simple, down to earth and nothing grand, just great interaction and
performances. That performing holds the watcher, and creates a satisfied
experience, no matter how simplistic it is. Woody Allen is just one of those
unique, masterly, gifted and iconic performers, directors and writers that are, very few in number.
Twilight Time has lovingly brought out yet again another
Allen film with a new outlet that is flawless and is an example of how to treat
a film. This is another wonderful transfer. High quality product. This film has
never looked any better, and this is a wonderful ability to experience another
Allen film.
This like many of Allen’s films has a wonderful cast of
actors and actresses. Woody Allen uses many of the same actors and actresses
repeatedly in his films. This one is a little different many of the actors in
this film are not at all regulars in his countless movies.
Starring the wonderful Burt Reynolds who needs no introduction,
and who has been in some of the great 70’s and 80’ films. Countless cult films
from Gator to Smokey and the Bandits, a true one of a kind performer. Also starring
one of the greatest comedy actors of all time Gene Wilder. Sadly, this master
is no longer with us. He left a grand career of perfection in cinema. It was
wonderful seeing him in Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid
to Ask. Priceless performance by all involved. Another comical experience that
only can be done by Woody Allen.
There is so many character actors and actresses in this film
that you can’t help but mention and talk about them. The one and only Drive-in
B-movie God and Guru the amazing one of a kind schlock actor John Carradine who
has been in some of the great Drive-in films of all time. A true cult god of
cinema of the lower budget nature. If I mentioned his countless films it would
take all day. Performing in well over 300 performances in his long amazing
career.
Just priceless seeing him in this. Also keep an eye out for the amazing
Lynn Redgrave. A priceless actress that shines in no matter what she has done.
The brilliant Tony Randall.
The beautiful Pamela Mason. Even, believe it or not
talk show host Regis Philbin is in this. Keep an eye out for Titos Vandis and
Stanley Adams, both priceless in any performance. I could go on and on about
this film in all the classic character actors or mainstream actors that this
film stars. Allen always brings out the countless performers.

Isolated Music Track: The all-important isolated music. I
always look forward to this special extra. The music composed for this film is
by Mundell Lowe. Not a huge known name in the music score or film soundtrack
world, only composing for 18 projects of film and TV. He did do some amazing
scores that stand out, the one and only bad ass film 1971’s Billy Jack. He also
did the music score for one of my favorite TV films 1972’s The Scarecrow, I am
a sucker for Scarecrow movies. It was great listening to the music in this
special edition extra of isolated music.

wonderful Woody Allen film to add to the collection. Twilight Time has done it
again in bringing a high-quality product out. I love adding to my Woody Allen
