Perfect Blue (1997)

Plot: A retired pop singer turned actress' sense of reality is shaken when she is stalked by an obsessed fan and seemingly a ghost of her past.

My Review and Thoughts:

Perfect Blue is a perfect movie. This is a twisted tale of stalking, murder and most of all a journey inside the mind of one that loses all sanity.

This is an adult crime drama. This anime is jam packed with storyline and captures the true grit and feel of every day life.

This anime is a classic. A classic anime that is a must own must-see for any person that is an anime freak or a movie lover in general. It's  a dark tale of the mind. It's a tale of life and choices one makes.

This anima is a vision of insanity and also sanity. It explores that obsession of control and a lack of thought. Some say well I could never go that far, but in reality we all can step over that line of sanity and enter-insanity when we don't even know.

Sometimes that obsession can control one's life. This movie is about the perfect fan. The obsessed stalker. The one that wishes to always have his idol.

What happens when a pop music idol changes her image and moves on to a more adult role. A fan so locked in their own world, explodes with madness.

This movie is a powerful crime drama with violence, action, blood and beauty. A journey inside the darkness of the human mind. I would love to see this made into a live action movie, although it could not get any better because to me this is an animated classic that stands the test of time.

When people ask me what adult animated movie they should watch? The first one that comes to my mind is Perfect Blue. The perfect choice of an amazing animated story.

This twisted tale makes for a wonderful cinematic movie to discuss and marvel over. This anime is on so many top list. This anime is a must see. This is a true essence of adult anime.

If you want to see this you must rent or buy the underrated version which is 83 minutes long of pure thriller. This is often shown on T.V. And sadly cut and chopped where it takes all the good and important parts.

I highly recommend this film, I watch it about once a year. Perfect Blue is a Perfect film to own.
