Starring:

when it goes too far and someone actually dies, the pair decide that killing
for real on film is the way to make a truly terrifying movie.
My Review and Thoughts:
Twisted tale and most of all a horror induced thrill ride.
Concept of a thriller/mystery yet mixed as a dark deep horror. The skill of
writing behind this feature is a golden reality few films know how to achieve
this day and age. This film gave a darker toned story that lingers on your
mind. To best describe this movie, it's like the thick plots of an Alfred
Hitchcock movie meet the reality of Ted Bundy with a massive splash of fresh
murder, horror movie slasher style. The film is made of the uniqueness
and originality of a twisted and brilliant imagination.
CUT! was an amazing adrenaline thriller of a watch. It kept
me on the edge of my seat until the very end. It's a deep and very psychological
trip into the inner recesses of the dark mind and twisted soul of humanity.
This is one of those films that make you think and gives you
an experience of a tight unrelenting horror thriller that never lets up and only
lingers long after it’s over. I think three things bring this film out in memorable
reality, 1. The atmosphere is believable, dark and tense, 2. The acting is absolutely
brilliant in many ways, leaves you very impressed, 3. The direction by David
Rountree needs to be hailed as truly something that needs and should be remembered
and talked about. There are so many pluses to this film, at
times the tight tension filled moments but most of all the twists and turns
that smack the watcher across the face and spins you into a Linda Blair
360 in all its surprises and twists.
Truly a film that stands out above and beyond so many films
coming out. I really love when a movie comes along and gives me what I want,
what I need and what the film world should have. Wonderful cast and equally
unique characters they create. Starring the wonderful David Banks as the
character Lane Hayes. Banks is amazing and much underrated actor and his skill
shows in this film. Starring the beautiful and stunning Dahlia Salem as
character Chloe Jo. She is always gifted in her performances. Also starring
Chris Moir who knows his character and owns his character. The director David Rountree who is also the
co-writer along with fellow star of the show David Banks appears in the film as
character Travis Simon. This is a wonderful scripted plot written by Banks and
Rountree. It’s a tale that needed to be told and was created in a horror
mystery with a deep and thick emotional reality that lingers on the viewer as
they watch and also when the film ends.
I do have to mention there is a nice part for a horror old
school icon non-other than Suze Lanier-Bramlett which was just priceless to
see. All you diehard horror fans and spook buffs will know her from Wes Craven’s
unrelenting old-school nightmare horror royalty in 1977’s The Hill Have Eyes
and even the horrendous craptastic sequel 1984’s The Hills Have Eyes Part 2. Loved seeing
her. Also this has in my viewpoint a wonderful actor who never gets the
limelight he deserves. I have always felt he was a true star and is a true
gifted actor. William McNamara who is an
acting veteran to the craft of performing. Been acting since the late 80’s
starring in some great films both small and large parts, one in particular Dario
Argento’s brilliant 1987’s Opera. I first noticed his talent in the 1992 TV
movie Doing Time on Maple Drive playing a serious part alongside one of comedian Jim
Carrey's serious parts. I think I will always remember him as the character of
Peter Foley in 1995’s Copycat. I also have to mention another gifted actor, a
veteran and character or side line actor the wonderful Sam Scarber. He has been
acting since the start of the 80’s and is a true performer and someone that
always stands out. The small parts or
cameos are just another plus to this solid film. CUT! is something to remember.
This won many awards at The Indie Fest. Including Best Film,
Best Director, Best Actor, and Award of Merit for Audio. That is something that
should be spoken about and that’s the flawless technical side of this film,
great audio and wonderful soundtrack. The music department and performers get a
huge thumbs up, Mark McDiffett, Jon Pileggi, Christina Horgan, stands out as
perfect. Loved the makeup and special effects department. Very real. The whole
sound department needs accolades for it helped create a tense ride.
This movie satisfies and creates a lasting impression. I
highly recommend and was thoroughly entertained.
